The global lay apostolate for vocations in the Catholic Church
The teacher of prayer is the Holy Spirit, and we must pray in a manner pleasing to him. When you feel drawn to remain in God in a holy silence of love, then stay that way. When you feel the impulse to speak to God or tell him how you love him, then do that. If you feel drawn to make petitions for your own needs or those of others, do that. Follow the loving breath of the Holy Spirit.
Breathe in me, O Holy Spirit, that my thoughts may all be holy. Act in me, O Holy Spirit, that my works, too, may be holy. Draw my heart, O Holy Spirit, that I love but what what is holy. Strengthen me, O Holy Spirit, to defend all that is holy. Guard me, then, O Holy Spirit, that I always may be holy. Amen.
