The global lay apostolate for vocations in the Catholic Church
The teacher of prayer is the Holy Spirit, and we must pray in a manner pleasing to him. When you feel drawn to remain in God in a holy silence of love, then stay that way. When you feel the impulse to speak to God or tell him how you love him, then do that. If you feel drawn to make petitions for your own needs or those of others, do that. Follow the loving breath of the Holy Spirit.
Breathe in me, O Holy Spirit, that my thoughts may all be holy. Act in me, O Holy Spirit, that my works, too, may be holy. Draw my heart, O Holy Spirit, that I love but what what is holy. Strengthen me, O Holy Spirit, to defend all that is holy. Guard me, then, O Holy Spirit, that I always may be holy. Amen.
Thoughts of St. John Vianney
Those who are led by the Holy Spirit have true ideas; that is the reason why so many ignorant people are wiser than the learned. The Holy Spirit is light and strength. When we are led by a God of light and strenth, we cannot go astray.
